A Male Peregrine falcon, also known as a tiercel, is smaller than the female, typically a third smaller in size. They share similar plumage, with a dark grayish-blue back, a darker head and neck, and a white throat and upper chest often speckled with brown. The breast and underside are typically white with a faint pink tint and sometimes striped with gray. A key difference is the brighter yellow on the bare parts (facial skin, beak, legs, and feet) during the breeding season
